Thornton Watlass Hall
Thornton Watlass Hall dates from the 11th century and has been occupied by the same family for just under 1000 years. The Hall has featured in TV dramas over the years such as All Creatures Great and Small, and it has also been the home to Lord Ashfordly, as Ashfordly Hall in Heartbeat. The Hall is finely furnished in period style and is unspoilt but still offers all the modern amenities. David and Liz Smith-Dodsworth offer a very friendly welcome and breakfasts are served in the grand dining room offering local produce. Relax in the palatial drawing room with its large open fireplace and honesty bar.
