The Wensleydale Heifer

Describing itself as ’boutique style’, this 17th-century former coaching inn is very much in the 21st century. The bedrooms, with Egyptian cotton linen and Molton Brown toiletries as standard, are each designed with a unique and interesting theme- for example, Black Sheep, Night at the Movies, True Romantics and Shooters, and for chocolate lovers there’s a bedroom where they can eat as much chocolate as they like’ The food is very much the focus here in both the informal fish bar and the contemporary style restaurant. The kitchen prides itself on sourcing the freshest fish and locally reared meats. The Wensleydale Heifer was last year’s AA Funkiest B&B of the Year (2011-2012).
