The Heron's Cove
There are charming views of the harbour, fast-flowing stream and inland hills from Heron ‘s Cove, at Ireland ‘s most south-westerly point, near Mizen Head. Bedrooms are comfortably furnished, some with balconies. The restaurant and wine bar is run by chef-patron Sue Hill, where the freshest fish and local produce feature and guests can choose their own wines from the cocktail bar shelves. Breakfast is a special treat and the best of West Cork ingredients can be enjoyed while watching the herons on the cove. Heron ‘s Cove is the AA Ireland’s Guest Accommodation of the Year 2012-13.
