The Blackwell Ox Inn

Standing in the lovely village, this inn and restaurant offers very good bedrooms and pleasing publ ic rooms. Bui lt in 1823 the Blackwell Ox was named after a locally bred animal that weighed 22781bs when it was slaughtered in 1779. Chef Steven Holding sources local produce from North Yorkshire, to create simple, honest cooking that has achieved an AA Rosette.
